Thai Sauce Container

This sauce container from a Thai House Restaurant located in Monterey Park, CA has an elegant presentation. Its main function is to hold delicious spicy sauce, parallel to that is to give a clue of how the restaurant looks. The container was designed to give an impression of neatness and cleanness. Its pure shiny color white makes it smooth, pleasant to the eye; it makes us approach it and get some sauce.  It was designed to be at a restaurant table giving it style and originality. Its design makes us appreciate it, inviting us to feel comfortable. Its effective because it has a perfect size to hold an estimate amount of sauce for four people at a table. It does not look messy, its easy to pass it around, and sliding it over the table accessible for everyone. Its lid has a curve space, adjusted for the spoon. The opening in the lid really works because it gives the entire design a touch of uniqueness.

The material used to make this container was carefully chosen to communicate the type of food served in this particular restaurant. It was not made with plastic or other type of material because most likely the designer wanted it to have have a close relationship with the table's material. Elegance is simplicity and sharpness; it does not have to have so many details or information around it. Simplicity is demonstrated in this sauce container; fewer lines and marks makes it a successful product.

The idea behind this container is to call the public's attention, inviting them to eat and feel like if they
were eating at home. The design idea really works because the container has style and relates to the interior of the restaurant.
